As General Smedley Butler famously said in his classic and irrefutable book “War is a Racket” the main beneficiaries of war are the big bankers like Rothschilds who have been financing both sides of all major wars at high interest since Napoleon, big arms manufacturers like Boeing and Halliburton who sell war materials to the military at inflated prices and the government itself which gets more tax money from increased economic activity associated with wars. As Eisenhower said in his farewell address in 1960, “Beware of the increasing power of the military industrial complex.’’ Remember no matter what the official reasons for war might be, the main beneficiaries view it as a highly profitable business and treat it as such. The losers in these wars are the little soldiers on both sides who risk losing their lives and their health in such wars for profit to benefit the rich class at the expense of the poor class. Rich men never lose their lives or their health in these wars. They just make a lot of money.
